Support Our Work

HeadWaters Land Conservancy is a non-profit land trust.   Our total operations budget for 2008 is $365,000, and we rely on generous gifts from conservation-minded donors like you to fund all of our work.   The Conservancy receives no government support.

You can make a gift in several ways. 

• You can make a donation by clicking the "Donate Now" button on the left side of this page to make a secure donation with your credit or debit card.  An advantage of this option is that it allows you to autmatically make a specified donation each month, so you can make a donation incrementally over the course of the year. 

• You can send a check to the address at the bottom of this page or call the telephone number listed there to make a donation over the phone.
• You can make a gift of stock, land, or other appreciated assets to be sold by the Conservancy now, or you can make a bequest of them in your will.  These donations may have some significant tax advantages for many individuals.  It is always a good idea to check with your personal financial advisor or attorney about your specific situation. 
• You can host a fund-raising dinner or social gathering to benefit the Conservancy.  Contact us, we'll be glad to help!
• You can tell your family and friends about the important work HeadWaters is doing and ask them to give to headwaters, or you can give them gift memberships. 

However you choose to support headWaters Land Conservancy, you can feel very good about making a real "on-the-ground" difference in land protection in northern Michigan!
