Saturday September 18th, 2010 9:00am to 12:00pm – Enjoy a Fall Hike with Land Protection Specialists from HeadWaters Land Conservancy!
Join HeadWaters Land Conservancy as we celebrate the gorgeous colors and crisp, refreshing temperatures of fall while hiking through a scenic piece of northeast Michigan that will be protected forever! From 9:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday September 18th, participants will have a rare chance to experience a piece of property not normally open to the public, and to learn from local Land Protection Specialists about how land conservation is important to protecting the scenic and natural resources so valuable to the region. Hikers are encouraged to bring along binoculars, field guides, and a picnic lunch if they wish to linger a little longer and make the most of this opportunity. Fall in northern Michigan can bring cooler temperatures, so please dress appropriately. We will be doing some walking so sturdy shoes are a must and we suggest you pack some water and a snack to stay energized. If you are interested in participating in this event, and for more details, please RSVP by calling 989-731-0573 or e-mailing us at
